Where exactly is all the data on the sponsorship contracts? At SSV Jeddeloh II there were three answers: in PDFs, in Excel spreadsheets and in people's heads. That is why Robin Laux travelled there himself for the joint start with Paktum. Along for the first time: Rollo, our AI agent for contracts.
Key takeaways
SSV Jeddeloh II (SSV Jeddeloh II Fussball Geschäftsbetrieb GmbH, the club's football operating company) is starting with Paktum.
The contract data was scattered across PDFs, Excel spreadsheets and the heads of the people involved.
Our AI agent Rollo was used for the first time: it reads contracts, recognises the relevant fields and creates them directly in Paktum.
On site, Robin Laux and Gerhard Meyer prepared everything for the joint start.
Three places for the same contracts
A signed sponsorship contract ends up as a PDF in a folder. A few key figures move into an Excel spreadsheet. And whatever was agreed on top with a handshake is mainly known to the person who negotiated the deal. That is what it looks like at many clubs, in one form or another, and it was the same at SSV Jeddeloh II.
The problem usually shows up when a specific question comes in: when does a contract expire? Which deliverables were agreed? What has already been invoiced? If the answers sit in three places, each of these questions takes longer than it should. And when someone changes roles, the knowledge in their head goes with them.
How Rollo works
For the onboarding at SSV Jeddeloh II, we used Rollo for the first time. Rollo is Paktum's AI agent, and its job is clearly defined:
Reading: Rollo reads the contracts automatically, even when they only exist as PDFs.
Recognising: It recognises the relevant fields in the contract.
Creating: It creates the recognised data directly in Paktum.

Until now, moving contracts into a new system mainly meant one thing: typing. Open the contract, find the field, copy the value, next contract. Rollo takes over this step. That will save time and money in future onboardings.
Once the contracts are in Paktum, they keep working there: with terms, notice periods and automatic renewal, with agreed deliverables, and with invoices that Paktum creates automatically according to the payment schedule when they fall due.
Why we still went there in person
Rollo reads what is in the document. What only exists in someone's head is in no PDF. That is why it mattered to us to sit at the table in person at SSV Jeddeloh II.
“Sometimes no interface will help. Then you need someone who takes a look in person,” says Robin Laux of Paktum.
On site, Robin and Gerhard Meyer prepared everything for the joint start. The division of labour is simple: Rollo takes care of what is written down in black and white in the documents. Everything else needs a conversation.

Before kick-off in the DFB-Pokal
For SSV Jeddeloh II, this marks a new phase in sponsorship: away from scattered files, towards one system where the contract data sits in one place. For us, it was Rollo's first assignment, and future onboardings will benefit from it.
P.S.: We are keeping our fingers crossed for the first round of the DFB-Pokal, the German football cup.
